Rehabilitation of runway 14L32R and taxyways

Runway 14L/32R at Cologne Bonn Airport has been completely renovated. Runway 14L/32R is the main runway (L= 3,815m and W= 60m) and was constructed in the 1960s using prestressed concrete. In 1994/1995, the runway was fundamentally renovated and the existing and worn-out prestressed concrete surface was covered with an asphalt surface of up to 80 cm. The service life of this surface had been reached and a general renovation of the runway was carried out.
