Flood protection Marbach

Project description

The market town of Marbach is located on the left bank of the Danube at river km 2049. In the confined space between the Danube and the residential areas, linear flood protection had to be implemented.

In addition to the construction of the dike (raising of the towpath with and without a wall), mainly protective walls in connection with mobile walls had to be erected. Due to the location in the immediate centre of the village, extensive public relations work was necessary, as well as coordination with landscape planners and townscape designers.
