Project description

The flood protection for the district of Neustift in the town of Schärding consists of the following system components:

Surface water:

Flood protection wall: length = 1,020m, average height 3.5m
Flood protection dam: length = 80m, height 4.5m
Mobile road crossings for Passauer Straße, Lutzbuchtstraße and Sportplatzweg
Rehabilitation of the cemetery embankment by means of internal sealing

Groundwater:

Subsoil sealing in the form of sheet piling, area = 8,700m².
Drainage pipes, length = 1,200m
3 drainage pumping stations

Sewerage:

Rainwater sewers, length = 450m
Flood pumping station H. Carossa-Straße, 940l/s flow rate
Flood pumping station sewage treatment plant, 1,200 l/s flow rate
3 sluice shafts
