Mazedonien – Route Kicevo – Albanien Border
Project description
WERNER CONSULT in consortium with TYPSA, Louis Berger and Davos Invest was commissioned with the submission and detailed design as well as the preparation of the tender documents for the railway line from Kicevo to the Albanian border in Macedonia.
This is a section of the Trans-European Corridor VIII. This runs from the Bulgarian city of Varna on the Black Sea via Sofia to Macedonia. In Macedonia via Skopje to Kicevo, where the ARGE planning contract begins, then continues to the Albanian border, where the planning contract ends. In Albania, it leads from the border through Albania to the city of Durres on the Mediterranean Sea. In Italy, it connects Bari and Brindisi.
The project is supported by the European Regional Development Fund.
The section to be planned by us is single-track, has a length of 63 kilometres, includes 13 tunnels with a total length of 12 km, the longest single tunnel 5.6 km, 49 bridges with a total length of 4.4 km (Treska Bridge with a length of 400 m and a height of 70-75 m), 3 stations and 4 stops and 26 overpasses and subways.
